    Lead Cloud Engineer

    The Day-to-Day

    • Develop and iterate on build and deployment automation pipelines for critical business systems, Manage development repositories.
    • Secure cloud applications and data against theft, loss, or other disasters.
    • Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to build and maintain company APIs.
    • Optimize cloud resources to maximize ROI
    • Work alongside the Network Operations team to Design, automate, and maintain: VPCs, subnets, Internet Gateways, ACLs, and Security Groups

    What experience/skills do I need?

    • 2-4 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, or another leading cloud provider
    • Experience with:
      • geographically distributed cloud architectures
      • enterprise application performance monitoring tools
      • build management (specifically Jenkins) 
      • best practices for developing and operating in the cloud
      • continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery automation
      • writing clean and maintainable code
      • Python and/or Ruby
      • writing clean and maintainable code
      • change management and establishing proper development, testing, and staging environments
      • agile and iterative delivery
    • Linux/Unix administration experience, specifically Ubuntu, CentOS, or Redhat – in a cloud environment
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including: VPCs, Subnets, NAT, ACLs, Gateways, Interfaces, etc.
    • Efficient communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and to be self-motivated
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a fast paced environment
    • Demonstrate proficiency in methodical troubleshooting to provide resolution to incidents
    • Windows administration experience a plus
    • DynamoDB and/or Redshift experience a plus
