Position Summary:    

We are seeking a Senior Channel Sales Manager to join our Sales Team in an indirect sales role within a high-growth area of SPS Commerce. This role involves developing lasting business relationships with software and Cloud-based companies specializing in ERP, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management. Responsibilities include cultivating partnerships with software application companies and their independent business partner communities, representing SPS Commerce to these communities. The Sr. Channel Sales Manager must be entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, and innovative, skilled in discovery, prescriptive selling, and managing complex sales cycles, with performance measured by territory management. 

 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and present comprehensive annual business plans targeting specific markets, activities, and milestones to meet sales revenue and lead generation goals, while educating other departments on these objectives. 
  • Maintain financial and non-financial metrics to measure the effectiveness of channel partner relationships and articulate the SPS value proposition for the entire product suite. 
  • Consistently manage and accurately forecast sales and partner activities, while executing marketing programs and industry/market tradeshows with partners to generate revenue and leads. 
  • Collaborate with other SPS sales organizations and third-party companies, such as independent VARs and System Integrators, to increase win rates and integrate these partners into the SPS Ecosystem, aiming to meet or exceed quarterly sales targets.  

 

Location:    

In this hybrid role, you will be required to work onsite from our Minneapolis office two days per week.    

   

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience, or some post-secondary education with 9 years of relevant work experience, including 3+ years of successful sales experience in complex, multi-party service, technology, or software solutions. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think outside the box, innovate to uncover new business opportunities, and develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies with partners. 
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills, capable of translating technical and customer information into engaging business solution requirements, and proficient in MS Office and Sales Automation Systems (e.g., Salesforce.com). 
  • Proven organizational and prioritization skills, familiarity with business applications related to ERP and Supply Chain, and experience in Independent Software Vendor (ISV), Value-Added Reseller (VAR), or related industries preferred.
