Description

Our Channel Sales team is seeking to add a Sr. Manager, Channel Sales. In this role you will manage an indirect Channel Sales team enabling them to hit planned goals and objectives. As a leader, they are responsible for developing and mentoring individuals under their supervision and to create and foster a positive and motivating team environment by modeling the SPS values. This position will set clear expectations and maximize resources to drive results.  In addition, this role will chart the future through strong collaboration and relationships, building alignment to create scalable and maintainable practices.

The Day-to-Day

  • Work closely with Business Development Leadership to define team and partner strategy
  • Align with other Sales Leaders to drive deal strategy and execution
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships within the SPS Commerce ecosystem of partners to drive new leads and opportunities to the business.
  • Work closely with other SPS sales organizations when independent VARs and or System Integrators are involved, winning the support of these third-party companies to increase our win rates, and ultimately bringing these partners formally into the SPS Ecosystem
  • Identify key selling trends and communicate to senior management
  • Collaboratively work within team and cross-functionally
  • Cultivate a culture that grows together and aligns with SPS Values
  • Create a thorough annual business plan that details the specific markets, activities, and milestones required to meet sales revenue and lead generation objectives
  • Develop and maintain financial and non-financial metrics to measure the effectiveness of our channel partner relationships, both for SPS Commerce and for our partners
  • Articulate SPS value proposition for the entire product suite
  • Execute marketing programs, including directional ownership of industry/market tradeshows with our partners that generate revenue and/or leads

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4+ years in a formal people management role
  • Experience managing a sales territory with quota expectations
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a CRM, preferably Salesforce.com

 

Preferred Experience:  ISV, VAR, Industry experience

Travel up to 25% may be required 

 

What We Offer:  

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The compensation range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more. SPS provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and annualized commission target for this role.

 

The total annualized on-target compensation range for this position is $188,800- $254,200. Actual compensation will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
