Position Summary:   

We are seeking a Logistics Account Executive to join our Logistics Sales team. In this role, you will drive new business through prospecting, partner development, territory management, and occasional onsite visits with third-party logistics (3PLs) and Carriers. If you enjoy a balance of 50% direct sales and 50% indirect sales, focusing on acquiring new customers and partners, this role could be an excellent fit for you  

Key Responsibilities:     

  • Drive revenue and lead generation through strong business relationships and a prescriptive sales process within your defined sales territory in the logistics and transportation sectors. 
  • Prospect for new clients using various strategies such as email campaigns, networking, and cold calling to effectively reach potential clients. 
  • Collaborate with the account team to leverage existing SPS relationships and maintain a culture that aligns with SPS Values. 
  • Maintain a rolling 90-day pipeline and document key activities in Salesforce.com to meet or exceed ARR quota. 
  • Create and execute detailed business plans to meet sales revenue and lead generation objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely responses. 

 

Location:    

In this hybrid role, you will be required to work onsite from our Minneapolis office two days per week.    

   

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant sales experience, or some post-secondary education with 3 years of relevant sales experience, including at least 1 year in a commission-based hunter sales role. 
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, non-verbal, and written skills, capable of adjusting tone and style as needed.
