Position Summary:    

We are seeking an Inbound Lead Generation Representative to join our Sales Team. In this role, you will engage with prospects and customers to generate new sales opportunities through organic inbound inquiries and marketing-driven campaigns. Your primary objective is to connect qualified prospects with sales account team members to advance the sales cycle. You will be responsible for consistently meeting monthly sales goals and accurately documenting activities in Salesforce.com. This role is 100% indirect sales, with performance measured by the number of opportunities created and closed dollars. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Qualify sales leads from inbound marketing programs, conduct research on organizations and contacts, and uncover needs to determine mutual fit and best solutions for each account. 
  • Meet response SLAs, utilize exceptional time management skills, and accurately track activities in Salesforce.com, updating lead, account, and opportunity information as needed. 
  • Maintain strong knowledge of SPS services to maximize cross-sell opportunities and assist in developing best practices within the lead generation sales process. 
  • Collaborate internally with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to improve the customer journey.    

 

Location:    

In this hybrid role, you will be required to work onsite from our Minneapolis office two days per week.    

   

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of some post-secondary education plus 2 years of relevant work experience, with 1-3 years in sales or customer service roles. 
  • Ability to absorb complex information quickly and accurately, conduct independent research, and have a goal and results-oriented mindset. 
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in sales (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing) and proven competence with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com. 
  • Proven experience building and maintaining cross-departmental relationships and familiarity with technology, retail, or equivalent industries with high complexity.

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. SPS provides the annualized compensation target inclusive of hourly pay rate and annualized commission target for this role.

 

The total annualized on-target compensation for this role is: $60,000.
