Position Summary:     

We are searching for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, who is eager to use their financial expertise at a company who is on a significant growth journey. This opportunity is perfect for someone who’s looking to move out of public accounting and grow their career or someone who already worked in financial reporting and wants to continue to develop those skills with a dynamic industry leader. You should have a strong interest in SEC reporting and curiosity around technical accounting research and establishing accounting policy. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will partner across the Finance organization to support the Company’s external financial reporting requirements in addition to technical accounting. This role will continue to drive the modernization and scaling of the overall reporting environment, as well as improving existing processes to make them more efficient and reliable.  

 

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Prepare financial reports (Forms 10Q and10K) on a quarterly and annual basis. Perform detailed reviews of disclosures and ensure they conform with established rules and regulations. 
  • Support Investor Relations processes and documents (ie: earnings press releases) 
  • Partner with account owners and other teams to enhance current process and accuracy of financial and non-financial information. 
  • Utilize and optimize tools available to assist in reporting processes, such as Workiva (reporting/filing tool) and Oracle (ERP). 
  • Research Technical Accounting matters, as needed, and arrive at appropriate conclusions given the facts and circumstances. 
  • Draft and assist in accounting policies and significant accounting transactions.  
  • Fulfill external audit requests. 
  • Be a proactive business partner to other departments within the organization by providing accurate and consistent reporting. 
  • Execute on non recurring finance projects, as needed. 

 

Location:     

This hybrid role requires at least one day per week onsite in our Minneapolis office. This is subject to change during peak reporting periods and needs of the organization.    

Required Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years public accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of industry experience.  
  • Understanding of Financial Reporting, including SEC regulations and underlying GAAP accounting 
  • Previous public company Financial Reporting experience as either an auditor or an employee of a publicly traded company preferred 
  • CPA (active or inactive) preferred 
  • Experience with the existing applicable SPS software technology stack, including Workiva, Oracle and/or Intelligize preferred. 

 

What We Offer:    

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. SPS provides the annualized compensation target inclusive of base salary and annualized commission target for this role.  

The annual salary range for this role is: $92,400- $110,000 + bonus. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.   

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
