We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer who is a highly experienced software engineer who acts as a deep subject matter expert in technical areas and within mission critical software domains requiring minimal direction. This role operates as an internal consultant in addition to being accountable for your own product and component deliverables. 

 

As a technical expert, you will work on development projects with a team of talented engineers. You will be responsible for the code writing, creating updates and improving architecture for the project, you will be managing and introducing architecture for upcoming projects as well.  As part of a multicultural team, you will be collaborating with colleagues across departments. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set new technology standards and establishing techniques that help your team work more effectively
  • Mentor and direct team members to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies
  • Monitor the daily operations of your team and maintain deep and complete knowledge of your area of functional responsibility
  • Leverage their expertise and experience to consult other teams and have an impact outside of your direct teams, domain, or business unit
  • Responsible for ownership of your products and services, sharing your knowledge with others, and technical leadership within your area of responsibility
  • Technically responsible for a significant area of code in their domain

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Python and React experience (or other frontend tools, if you are willing to switch to React)
  • Knowledge of the PDLC/SDLC, cloud and distributed architectures
  • Experience operating at multiple layers of the technology stack
  • Demonstrated ability to create long-term technical solutions
  • Clear ability to rationalize decision making and communicate across audiences both verbally and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers of various skill levels and technical abilities

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience with cloud providers; AWS preferred
