Position Summary:
As a Senior HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across multiple business functions and locations. You will work closely with the HRBP team, HR Centers of Excellence, business leaders, and employees to ensure effective implementation and execution of HR policies, strategies, programs, and initiatives that drive employee engagement, performance, and compliance. You will also support the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnership
- Independently partner with business management to understand organizational goals, provide HR guidance, and proactively drive initiatives that align with business priorities.
- Management Coaching & Skill Building
- Take initiative to coach managers at all levels, independently identifying needs and delivering targeted skill-building to elevate management capability and team performance.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, and independently manage sensitive employee relations issues and investigations, balancing risk, compliance, and culture while driving resolution. Provide guidance to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Identify and propose solutions to trends in employee relations.
- Employee Lifecycle Management (Onboarding to Offboarding)
- Own and execute employee lifecycle processes end-to-end, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience through each phase of the employee journey. Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding. Assist in the preparation of HR-related documentation. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable policies.
- Performance Management and Improvement
- Support the performance improvement process by guiding managers on employee feedback and improvement process, as well as coaching managers on approaches to addressing team and individual performance. Independently partner with the business and HR team to lead business facing performance management cycles, ensuring consistent execution of goal setting, feedback, and development planning across supported teams.
- Cyclical Process Administration and Execution
- Independently manage and execute recurring HR processes (e.g., compensation evaluations, engagement surveys, talent reviews), maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
- Compliance and Policies
- Proactively ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and internal policies, independently identifying and mitigating risks and keeping documentation and practices audit-ready.
- HR Systems, Data Analysis and Reporting
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR systems; independently support leaders with data, reporting, and system navigation to inform decision-making. Compile and analyze HR data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Prepare regular and ad hoc reports with insights and recommendations to allow the business to make decisions.
- HR Support for Project Execution (M&A, HCM, etc.)
- Own the planning and execution of key HR projects, including M&A integration and system/process implementations, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader organizational change efforts.
Location:
This role is a hybrid position, based out of our Rogers, Arkansas office, and will support HR across multiple business functions and locations. Our team #SucceedsTogether through collaboration in-office with flexibility to work remotely.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist with demonstrated knowledge across various HR disciplines.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
- Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, talent strategies, and compensation administration.
- Preferred experience in M&A integration.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience using various HR technology solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is a strong advantage.
What We Offer:
At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.
The annual salary range for this role is: $69,500 - 104,300. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
