Position Summary:  
The Corporate Accounting Manager will serve as a key leader in managing and facilitating the global month-end close process, overseeing consolidation across legal entities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving process improvements. Acting as a bridge across the controllership, FP&A, and international offices, this role requires strong collaboration and communication skills to provide accurate updates and guide the organization through complex accounting challenges.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will also support acquisition integration activities, help shape accounting processes as the organization grows, and foster team development by challenging and supporting a highly capable, skilled team. This role offers visibility with senior leadership and requires a proactive, confident leader who can drive outcomes, manage ambiguity, and think critically.
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Lead and manage the global month-end close, ensuring timely, accurate consolidation of legal entities.
  • Provide clear, summarized close and financial updates and insights to senior leadership.
  • Partner with FP&A, Technical Accounting, and international teams to ensure alignment and communication on accounting impacts.
  • Support acquisition-related accounting and integration activities.
  • Review and support team deliverables while fostering growth and independence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close activities and strengthen controls.
  • Guide the team through ambiguity and establish effective solutions for evolving needs.
Location:
This role is hybrid out of our Minneapolis office.  For hybrid office locations, we Succeed Together though in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility. 
Required Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2+ years in a formal people management role
  • A broad understanding and appreciation of accounting practices outside of accounting operations
  • Highly collaborative communication style and practice
 Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Month End close process experience
  • Public company experience, particularly working with external auditors

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more. 
 
The annual salary range for this role is: $93,200 - $149,200. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.   Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
