Position Summary: 

The Vice President of Demand Generation is responsible for driving measurable growth through a modern, AI-powered global demand engine. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this leader will own the strategy and execution that fuels pipeline for both new and expansion business, combining data-driven precision, creative excellence, and deep cross-functional collaboration to accelerate SPS Commerce’s revenue growth worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own the Global Demand Engine: Architect and continuously optimize a multi-channel demand generation strategy that integrates digital, community, events, partner, and content programs to deliver predictable, scalable pipeline growth.
  • Drive Pipeline and Revenue Growth: Partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to deliver high-quality, high-velocity pipeline across both new and existing customer segments, with clear accountability to revenue outcomes.
  • Lead AI-Enabled Marketing Innovation: Champion the use of AI and automation across campaigns, lead nurturing, in-product messaging, data enrichment, and customer journey orchestration. Go beyond basic custom GPTs by integrating systems and workflows that scale personalization and efficiency.
  • Advance Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Evolve and expand ABM strategies in collaboration with sales leadership to target high-value accounts, orchestrate personalized campaigns, and deepen engagement across buying committees while also managing a volume focused SMB strategy.
  • Oversee Digital Marketing Excellence: Lead global digital marketing efforts across SEO, PPC, paid social, and web optimization to maximize visibility, engagement, and conversion throughout the buyer journey.
  • Build a World-Class Events Program: Oversee global events and experiences that drive measurable pipeline impact and reinforce SPS’s leadership in supply chain orchestration.
  • Champion Data-Driven Performance: Develop and refine attribution models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into marketing ROI, pipeline velocity, and conversion efficiency.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a global team of demand generation, digital, and events marketers, building capabilities that reflect modern marketing best practices and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Manage Budget and Performance: Own the demand generation budget and KPIs, regularly communicating progress, insights, and recommendations to the CMO, CRO, and executive leadership team.

Location: Remote or Hybrid (available for local Minneapolis candidates)

What We Offer:   

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.  

The annual salary range for this role is: $200,00 - $324,600 + Bonus and Equity. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.   

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
