Description

Marketing at SPS Commerce is evolving — and this is your chance to be part of something big. As our business scales and our global reach expands, we’re building a marketing organization that does more than create awareness — we drive demand, deepen relationships, and deliver measurable impact across every stage of the customer journey.

We’ve reimagined how we work, combining functional expertise with deep customer insight. Our team is structured around key areas like Brand, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing, and we collaborate through cross-functional pods focused on distinct customer segments — from Retailers and Suppliers to Revenue Recovery & Analytics and Core.

As our Creative Director, you’ll play a key role in bringing this vision to life — leading a team crafting visuals and storytelling that connect, inspire, and deliver results. Your work will elevate our brand, fuel demand, and help us engage audiences around the world through creativity that drives business outcomes.

Who We Are:

SPS Commerce is a leading provider of cloud-based supply chain management solutions, serving a global network of retail trading partners. We foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued. Join SPS Commerce and be part of a dynamic team that’s transforming the global retail supply chain!

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Brand Strategy and Vision: Define and elevate the SPS Commerce brand worldwide through cohesive design systems, storytelling frameworks, and brand guidelines that bring our supply chain orchestration story to life across every touchpoint.
  • Lead Multi-Channel Creative Direction and Execution: Oversee brand expression across digital, video, social, events, content, and environmental experiences, ensuring every asset reflects our brand strategy and business goals.
  • Direct Video and Experience Design: Shape the creative vision for video storytelling, live and virtual event experiences, and large-scale brand activations that deepen connection with customers and partners.
  • Champion Storytelling and Content Innovation: Infuse customer voices and success stories into all creative output, leveraging AI, modern tools, and agency partnerships to scale storytelling impact.
  • Manage and Develop Creative Talent: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, writers, video producers, and brand strategists to foster creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Strategic and Business Alignment: Translate company and marketing strategy into bold, cohesive creative direction that advances global awareness, engagement, and revenue goals.
  • Oversee Resources, Budgets, and Timelines: Manage the operational aspects of creative projects to balance innovation with efficiency, scalability, and measurable outcomes.

Where You’ll Work:

This role is remote or hybrid, based on the candidate’s location. For hybrid office locations (Rogers, AR or Minneapolis, MN), we Succeed Together through in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility. The role will require occasional travel for onboarding, training, leadership meetings and/or customer visits, approximately 15%.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Brand and Creative Leadership: 7+ years leading in-house brand or creative teams for SaaS or technology companies, with proven experience setting and executing global brand strategy.
  • Strategic and Hands-On Design: Ability to move seamlessly between high-level creative direction and detailed design feedback to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • AI-Enhanced Creativity: Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and workflows to enhance design, storytelling, and operational efficiency.
  • Multi-Channel Creative Execution: Expertise across digital, video, social, experiential, and environmental design to create cohesive brand experiences.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Strong cross-functional partnership skills with marketing, product, sales, and executive stakeholders to align creative vision with business goals.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Proven success developing and inspiring designers and producers to achieve creative and professional excellence.
  • Presentation and Communication: Skilled at articulating creative concepts, presenting campaigns, and pitching ideas that influence and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Design Tools and Systems: Deep familiarity with modern design platforms, brand systems, and collaborative tools to streamline creative operations.
  • Global Team Leadership: Experience leading a distributed creative organization, including managing offshore design resources and ensuring consistent quality, collaboration, and brand alignment across regions.
