We are currently looking for an experienced Sr. Implementation Specialist (Sr. Consultant) who loves to get after it, is obsessed with customers and enjoys succeeding together to join our Enterprise Premier Customer Success team.
In this role you would be responsible for successfully managing the testing and implementation of our customer’s solution. Exceeding customer expectations is a top priority, which is accomplished by clearly understanding the clients’ business model, the partner resources and limitations, and the value added by the SPS components.
This role is based out of our Minnepolis office in a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility with remote work and in-person collaboration.

Day to Day
- Perform post-sale initial technical implementation of technology products.
- Execute installation, upgrades, testing, and system configuration as part of completing implementation project.
- Conduct complex work important to the organization.
- Work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
- May consult with clients to analyze and verify operational needs, and to understand clients' business objectives and goals.
- Track progress of implementation project(s). Ensure deadlines are met and scheduling issues resolved.
- Keep customer and other stakeholders informed of project progress.
- Possess and maintain a high level of industry-specific business knowledge by remaining current with emerging products and technical updates.
Required Experience/ Skills

- A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; or 3 years and a Master’s degree.
- 3+ years of account management, relationship management, product management or related experience.
- Prior exposure to 3rd parties, consultants, VARs, and adapter or application providers desired
- Strong relationship building skills, especially over the phone.
- Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent activities.
Preferred Experience
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience
- Supply chain related experience working with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, Infor etc.
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting different connection types API, sFTP, AS2, VAN etc.
- Experience working with Suppliers and retailers
- Experience working with Carriers and 3PL’s
- Ability to learn quickly to utilize proprietary tools and software as part of day to day job function desirable

The Consultant I - EDI Testing (Testing & Certification) works to Get After It within a team of professionals responsible for developing standardized solutions for our customers. They will research, isolate, diagnose, resolve and follow-up on problems for customer change events. When necessary, they will also manage escalated events as appropriate.

EDI Testing (Testing & Certification) is a unique team within implementation that makes a large impact on suppliers who need to test and certify doing EDI with SPS Commerce. Remaining customer focused, this team gets great exposure by working with many other areas of the business to Succeed Together - sales, customer success managers, and technology teams to name a few.

What experience and skills do I need?
- Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience.
